Dromex® A.P.T™ single and double layer balaclavas are made from Dromex® A.P.T™ 88/12 FR (flame retardant) interlock stretch fabric, which provides dependable, neck, face and head protection against the hazards of an arc flash incident.
The Dromex® balaclava helps minimize break open and expands to form a stable and inert barrier between the arc flash, fire and skin. This gives exposed workers the valuable seconds and protection they need to escape from the hazard.
The Arc balaclava is an ideal protective layer that has been designed for fit and comfort. It is lightweight with high cotton content which improves breathability.
These balaclavas are suitable for use in conjunction with an arc face shield while working on energized equipment, along with other PPE (personal protective equipment) used widely in the petrochemical, arc flash safety and utility industries.
