Arc Blanket

The Dromex® Arc product range is designed to protect the user from the hazards of heat and to reduce total burn injury when working in environments exposed to electric arc hazards. The Dromex® Arc flash suppression blanket provides workers’ with a barrier of protection against arc blast hazards (explosive and incendiary effects of electrical arcs and flashes) encountered in electrical work tasks, when used inenclosed and confined spaces.

This 55cal Arc flash suppression blanket consists of the following:

• A double-layer fabric construction for optimum protection.
• 10 Double layer loops for easy attachment and keeps the blanket secured in place.
• Supplied in a storage bag with straps.
• Centralized cable strap with Hook and Loop/zip strap.
• Seams and loops are sewn with inherent flame retardant thread.

This blanket only diverts energy and does not absorb it. Arc flash blankets are suitable for use when working in enclosed and confined spaces such as:

• Switch yards and substations
• Mining
• Underground vaults
• Utilities and power generators
• Chemical plants
• Refineries
• 2.5m x 4m

Dromex® Arc garments/blankets are manufactured with our exclusive Dromex® A.P.T™ (Arc Protective Technologies) fabric blend which has been carefully developed by our team along with industry experts and professionals to ensure specialised Arc safety and global standards are met. Our Dromex® A.P.T™ fabric and garments have been tested to NFPA, ASTM, EN, SABS and IEC standards.
